Virtual Koi Show Winners
Here are the ki shusui project winners in Koiphen's Virtual Koi Show Competition. (Yahoo!) The fish in this virtual competition were judged only by photographs on the internet.

This guy won best in size 3 Kawari. (Kawarigoi are types that are not a recognized variety.)
This ki asagi below won 2nd place in size 2 (8 - 12" ) category asagi/shusui. It is one of the F1 siblings and valuable for crossing with doitsu koi.
A better photo of this very sweet fish. He is the one in the front of the tub. His tubmate is also a ki asagi.
This shusui "Rosie." took first place in Size 5 Asagi/Shusui (20-24") She is one of the oyagoi who participated in the 2012 spawn. I can not be sure her DNA was successfully carried over to the F1 keepers as there were two other female shusui involved in the spawn, but it is likely that this koi and/or her sister (pictured next) were contributors. Rosie and her "Little Sister" will be used in another ki shusui spawn in 2014.
The shusui to the right, "Little Sister," took 3rd place in size 5. She is a full sister of Rosie, above and while her lateral markings are not as symmetrical as her sister, she also has very clean skin, good quality hi (red) markings and very good dorsal scalation. She was also one of the oyagoi in the spawning that produced the F1 ki shusui in 2012.
The last shusui took honorable mention in class 5. This is "Little Brother" and he is also a full sibling of the two shusui above. He has a few random blue scales on the side of his shoulder and face which cost him points. If I ever have time and water enough I may cross Little Brother with his sisters and produce some good quality Hosokai (their Japanese breeder) shusui.
